The 'update' button once updating a profile photo for someone is not intuitive. I didn't know why the photo I was choosing to view for people wasn't working; @ev swung over my shoulder (which I'd prefer he not do unless the two of us are pair programming) and he said, 'oh! You have to hit 'update'.' Ok, perhaps it should it say 'confirm' instead.
would 'confirm' really be better? maybe text of the button should change depending on the state? (start disabled, then change to "update avatar" or "update name")
@gb have you tried mix' new profile? How do you feel about it now?
hain't tried it -- where can I find it?
It's on master now... he revamped the profile page (you should see all the names like in patchwork-classic) but i'm not sure if this solves your concerns.
Will take a look; thanks, @cryptix.
it ain't perfect but it's a little moe intuitive.
The page has space in the design for about.description
but I need to learn how to do queries to get that out ... and then there's a design challenges of :
- how do people write their description
- how do you display a range of descriptions others / you have made
