inconsistent replication
We're still having issues over here with replication between @gb and my computers. In addition, gb just made me aware that she's also have issues replicating between her VPS and local.
I'd thought this was fixed, but it appears that it isn't. We've tried a lot of things to fix this, including matt's persistent-gossip-matt
branch %WULXhOs...
All of our computers, real and virtual, are running persistent-gossip
and/or persistent-gossip-matt
Oddly enough using the connect
buttons in the /network
tab of Bay manually did not help replication either locally or with the VPS.
The problem was fixed most recently by simply restarting the local sbot instance.
Usually messages find a way to replicate in around 8-12 minutes without restarting, but this can be kind of a long and frustrating wait when you're in the same room or trying to get a push up to your VPS to deploy a website.
I'm just going to record a few things that I'm doing to try and fix this, just to make sure it's not just a local problem for us.
- backed up to
persistent-gossip
frompersistent-gossip-matt
- removed
gossip.json
files, just in case something was messed up in there - made sure multiserver@1.7.5 was installed on both machines (I should also check vpses)
