This is an informal registry of pub servers. Please add your own pub if you start one!

Some pubs have invite codes listed on this page, others on their own website, and others are private & require you to email / message the pub operator to get an invite code. Pubs marked by :money_with_wings: have invite codes for sale.

What is a pub?

A pub is just like any other peer in the scuttlebutt network, that replicates feeds to other peers, except it also (generally):

1. is always online
2. has a public ip address
3. offers invite codes

What is an invite code?

An invite code looks something like this:

foo.bar.co.nz:8009:@6lOh+rLq4MQubPQoKenbB827dh5NVc2FAjy30MTc08o=.ed25519~93RP4aT6YNm+7++Ab3VQd+w/CL2w6p8QuX7fRaUs9cY=

It tells your client / local peer how to find the pub (foo.bar.co.nz:8009) and a unique identifier that helps the pub identify that it is in fact an invite code that it gave out. This will make the pub follow you, which helps replicate your feed to a more broad portion of the network!

Public pubs

Please don't just choose the first pub in the list! In order to spread out the load of new users and not overwhelm any volunteer's pub server, select one further down the list or at random.

Private pubs

You'll need to contact the owners of these pubs for an invite.
