It's a well-known fact that contemporary <q><abbr title="Rhythm and Blues">R'n'B</abbr></q> isn't really R'n'B. There may be Rhythm, but there's definitely no Blues. </p>

But rather than insisting that this isn't R'n'B music, it's possible to contort the phrase to allow the music to qualify as <q>R'n'B</q>. Firstly, it must be spelt <q>R n' B</q>, with one apostrophe-o'-omission, after the N. This apostrophe stands for an <q>O</q> and the music is <q>Rhythm-no-Blues</q> music. </p>
